Director of IT Operations

We are looking for a talented and motivated leader to build our infrastructure team. You will take on key responsibilities for expanding and maintaining our current infrastructure, and build your team as required to support this growth. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and grow a team of IT Operations professionals, passionate about redundancy, uptime, reliability and security
  • Expand and maintain Zenfolio's infrastructure, both physically and on the cloud
  • Perform detailed analysis for cost, power, throughput, redundancy, security and other IT aspects
  • Monitor availability and performance of Zenfolio systems and respond to events as required
  • Manage IT-relevant vendors, negotiate pricing and plan hardware and software deployments
  • Plan burstable cloud capacity for web sessions and other computations
  • Provision IT Equipment, manage desktop support and assist users with desktop/e-mail/office issues
  • Manage an on-call, 24x7 pager duty
  • Deploy software updates to production while adhering to best IT practices in doing so
  • Help develop robust, industry-standard, documented IT and DevOps processes

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience in hiring and team-building
  • Proven ability to mentor team members, delegate tasks and initiatives to them and care for the professional growth
  • Ability to show by example through true, hands-on experience
  • 7+ years of solid experience with TCP/IP-based networking, including provisioning, configuration, load balancing, firewalling and troubleshooting
  • 7+ years of experience in Windows as well as Linux platform administration
  • 5+ years of experience managing and building physical (data center), cloud and hybrid infrastructure
  • Good knowledge of Internet, security and e-mail protocols such as DNS, HTTP, SMTP, IPsec, certificates, etc.
  • Knowledge of PCI compliance and protocols, and their relevance and impact to IT policies
  • Experience in building and deploying software updates
  • Strong and methodical troubleshooting skills
  • Thorough understanding of key platform concepts such as performance, redundancy, fail-over, throughput and the myriad of factors impacting them.

Product Manager (Menlo Park, CA)

Zenfolio is the premier global photography service used by professionals and enthusiasts to present and sell photography online. Now part of the Art.com family, we offer a small team environment within a successful organization.

We are looking for a talented, driven, and highly detail-oriented Product Manager to lead our vendor product integrations, a key component of the Zenfolio service that allows photographers to sell hundreds of print products from labs around the world. You will work with our partner labs to expand our product offerings and improve our selling capabilities, and be responsible for the full product lifecycle: requirements gathering, roadmap planning and vendor relationship management through detailed design, implementation and launch. You don’t need to know how to code, but this is a hands-on role where you will be doing much of the implementation work in close partnership with engineering and QA. The position is based in Menlo Park, CA and reports to the Director of Product.

Our team is a fun and hard-working group of people who love solving real problems and creating products that photographers depend on to run their businesses. You will suggest and design improvements to existing functionality, be heavily involved in overall product development, provide input into our long-term strategy, learn and have fun.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Own the roadmap and manage the design/build/test/release process from start to finish
  • Apply user experience and design principles to create wireframes, storyboards, and/or high-fidelity mockups of new features through collaborative iterations with the team
  • Work with engineering to understand architecture and development issues and make appropriate design tradeoffs
  • Proactively seek customer and vendor feedback and incorporate it into roadmap planning, feature design and enhancements

Professional Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in a product management, technical or user experience design role
  • Knowledge of user experience principles, graphic design, and web standards
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and XML principles, source control (SVN)
  • Project management skills, including prioritizing and scheduling work, evaluating and resolving issues, and communicating at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to deliver functional specifications, flows, diagrams, mock-ups, and rapidly execute hi-fidelity designs with strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency with interface design and prototyping tools of choice
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Good sense of humor

Growth Marketing Manager (Menlo Park, CA)

This is a very visible position within the company and requires forward thinking, and strategic planning. Basic Function: Lead the execution of global online user acquisition efforts and supporting senior management in all marketing efforts.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Work as part of a lean team to grow Zenfolio’s acquisition marketing channels globally, including display, mobile, paid search, paid social, and affiliate marketing
  • Develop and execute integrated multi-channel marketing campaigns for major company initiatives
  • Test new marketing channels and ad products; own the process from tracking and technical integration to trafficking campaigns, optimizing, and determining whether to run ongoing
  • Lead website and brand messaging ensuring consistency throughout
  • Become industry expert and advisor

Responsibilities

  • Become the first level of interaction for user e-mail inquiries and live chat. Inquiries include requests for technical assistance as well as general pre-sales and how-to questions.
  • Ensure timely responses to all inquiries via email, live chat, phone
  • Effectively articulate complex information to a variety of technical and non-technical users, i.e., helping people who have basic computer skills and need a lot of hand-holding
  • Provide daily interaction with the photography community on user forums and social-networking sites
  • Identify areas of usability concerns and escalate them for technical resolution
