Drawing on our own passion for photography, Zenfolio, Inc was founded in 2004. Since then, we've worked hard to create a place online where photographers – both amateurs and professionals – can organize, display, and sell their images with uncompromising quality.

Zenfolio is a small independent company with a passionate team combining many years of experience developing Web and desktop software for leading technology companies. While our professional backgrounds include working for the top database, computer OS, and graphics and imaging companies, our shared interest is photography.

As digital artists, our mission was to build the kind of online photography service we would want to use ourselves. And now, after having tens of thousands of photographers join the Zenfolio community, we're even more passionate about what we do.

Like a paper folio gracefully unfolding to reveal photography work, the Zenfolio Team strives to recreate this experience online. The Zen part stands for the clarity and simplicity we hope to achieve in searching for the perfect solution.
