Quite simply, Zenfolio is beautifully large and expansive. I was looking for something that could tie in with the growth of my business. I love the flexibility that Zenfolio offers my customers when they view their images for the first time, they can control that experience. I started my account at Zenfolio as a visual blog of what I am, and what I do.

I also like the new upgrades like customizing the link so it isn't as long as my 70-300mm lens on full extension (see above), or, selling licensed digital downloads (the wave of the future).

I love getting these emails from Zenfolio notifying me that I made a sale and immediately putting the request to transfer profits to to my Paypal account, which typically takes just a few hours to arrive.
I also like the flexibility in pricing my products. I offer discounts for my prints to clients that I bought a portrait session from me. I can offer discounts that last forever, or those that expire after a time. I also have multiple price lists, which helps when pricing certain private galleries.
I also love their admin panel. There I can see how many times my galleries were viewed, I can break it down by days and by images. I also use their sample license agreements to draft agreements when I’m licensing your work to third parties (which came in handy in the last few weeks when several buyers wanted to use some of my work in their magazines and advertising campaigns and I did not have to go to lawyer to draft the agreements). I can also see sales report breaking down each sale by sales price and profit minus the discount, and I can get a statements generated for various dates and categories, which helps tremendously for my accounting and tax records. Zenfolio knows I’m running a business and they built their engine from that viewpoint.

Another plus is their public API which have given us useful upload plug-ins for Lightroom, Aperture, Wordpress amongst a few.
Imagine all this at a ridiculously low yearly fee. On top of this Zenfolio charges you the industry's lowest fees for managing your sales and you see why I picked Zenfolio as my online photo partner.

Zenfolio is the best online photo gallery I can imagine. I have tested flickr, SmugMug and Picasa. These are all photo communities but ZF is the only one which lets you seriously present a (semi-) professional photographer's work. Best platform to present and sell images out there!

I just received my first order via Zenfolio - twelve mounted metallic prints that I needed ASAP for submission to WPPI's 8x10 competition. I ordered them late Friday night, and received them today (Tuesday) mid-day.
Not only is your turnaround time fabulous (especially for a mounted product), the attention to detail in packing my items was absolutely top notch. They all arrived in pristine condition! Not one nick, bend, or beautiful metallic print sticking to anything else.
I really truly couldn't have been more pleased with the quality of these prints... I can't tell you how proud I am to submit them to WPPI.
I recently tried Zenfolio out of frustration with other online portfolio services that run slow, don't give my clients a big enough preview, etc. The galleries look great, my clients are telling me how much better they like the service, and you make my collection of commissions SO simple it's not even funny!!!
I love that matting, mounting, and framing are made so simple with you. I'm a small business, and knowing that you provide so many services and it's all right at my fingertips and accessible via the internet (so important for someone who travels frequently and may or may not be able to bring along my own laptop)... it's really my dream come true.

I really like how Zenfolio works!! It is really nice that I can upload the proofs, they can order, crop, etc and then I can upload the enhanced image. That is really great. I used another photo hosting site before and had to enhance every photo for fear if they ordered from the internet they would get a bad photo. I believe Zenfolio is going to work MUCH nicer for me!! It will save me an enormous amount of time.
I love the fact that I have so many options on setting my prices also. I can set a gallery or individual photos different yet keep them all in the same gallery/album for easy organization for my customers.

Zenfolio satisfies my requirements as a photographer, from providing private galleries to automated order fulfillment with high-quality prints to selling digital images. On the technical side, I have been impressed with the elegant merging of a clean interface and intelligent prefetching of images to make browsing through a gallery a smoother experience. Combined with a modest price, unlimited disk and bandwidth usage, in my opinion Zenfolio is an excellent platform for photographers.

I like that I can organize photos into groups and galleries, and surface those galleries very obviously on the front page. I like the overall look/feel. There are multiple styles you can use, and the site is easy to navigate for both the owner and visitors. Your visitors can order photo prints or custom photo gifts and Zenfolio will ship it to them! I have used Zenfolio for about 2 years and I'm very happy with their service.
