Assigning cover photo
A Cover photo is like a book cover, it visually represents the gallery providing clues to what can be found inside. As such, it is best to select the most representative and memorable photograph in the gallery to be the Cover photo.
By default, the first photograph in the gallery is selected as Cover Photo. There are two ways to select a different Cover Photo:
Use randomly selected photos:
- Click to select the gallery you would like to edit in the Organizer or in the Main Area. Information about the gallery will load in the Toolbox on the right side.
- Under Toolbox » Cover Photo section, click the checkbox next to the Use random photo option. A new thumbnail that looks like a pair of dice indicates that a random cover photo is selected every time the gallery is requested.
Assigning specific Cover Photo:
- Click to select the gallery you would like to edit in the Organizer. Thumbnails will load in the Main Area and the name of the gallery will display at the top.
- In the Main Area, move your mouse over the photo you would like to assign as a Cover Photo. Click on the blue icon with the down-pointing arrow that appears as your mouse moves over the thumbnail. A Photo Menu will appear.
- Choose Select as Cover Photo from the menu. A new window will open and prompt you to assign the selected photo to that gallery or any group. A thumbnail of the selected photo will appear under 'Toolbox » Cover Photo and Theme’ confirming the selection.
Note: Gallery cover photos can only be selected from within that gallery.
