Assigning cover photo to a password-protected gallery
By default, the appearance of a password-protected gallery will display a protected thumbnail icon with asterisks. To display a photo thumbnail instead of that you must make one of the photos in your gallery public and then assign that photo as the Cover photo.
- Click to select the password-protected gallery you would like to edit in the Organizer. Thumbnails will load in the Main Area and the name of the gallery will display at the top.
- In the Main Area, select the photo you would like to assign as a Cover Photo. Details for that photo will load in the Toolbox.
- In the Toolbox under Access Control section click Edit.
- Uncheck the Same as Containing Gallery (Locked with password) checkbox
- Select Public - open to all visitors
- Click Save to apply your changes
- In the Main Area, move your mouse over the photo you have just made public. Click on the blue icon with the down-pointing arrow that appears as your mouse moves over the thumbnail. A Photo Menu will appear.
- Choose Select as Cover Photo from the menu. A new window will open and prompt you to assign the selected photo to that gallery. A thumbnail of the selected photo will appear under Toolbox ยป Cover Photo and Theme confirming the selection.
Note: Gallery cover photos can only be selected from within that gallery.
