Rotating

You can change the orientation of a photograph by rotating it.

Rotating photos on Zenfolio is a non-destructive operation that does not affect original full size files. As a result, the fidelity of the original file is preserved.

You can rotate photos in 90-degree increments. The available options are Rotate Left, Rotate Right, Flip, and Mirror. To rotate a photograph:

Thumbnails Mode in the Main Area

1. In the Organizer, click to select the gallery containing the photograph you would like to rotate or double-click the gallery in the Main Area. Thumbnails from the gallery will load in the Main Area and the title of the gallery will display at the top.
2. In the Main Area, click to select a thumbnail of the photograph you would like to rotate. The thumbnail will become highlighted and photo-related information will be loaded in the Toolbox.
3. Select Edit » Rotate from the drop-down list in the Bottom Menu of the Main Area (you might need to scroll down to see the menu). The following option icons will become available: Rotate Left, Rotate Right, Flip, and Mirror.

Note: The above steps can be applied to multiple selected items as one operation.

Single Photo Mode in the Main Area:

1. In the Organizer, click to select the gallery containing the photograph you would like to rotate or double-click the gallery in the Main Area. Thumbnails from the gallery will load in the Main Area and the title of the gallery will display at the top.
2. In the Main Area, click to select a thumbnail of the photograph you would like to rotate. The thumbnail will become highlighted and photo-related information will be loaded in the Toolbox.
3. Switch the mode by selecting the Single Photo button in the right corner of the Main Menu. Alternatively, you can double-click the thumbnail to open it. A large image will be loaded in the Main Area giving you a clear view of the photograph.
4. Select Edit » Rotate from the drop-down list in the Bottom Menu of the Main Area (you might need to scroll to see the menu). The following option icons will become available: Rotate Left, RotateRight, Flip, and Mirror.
5. Click the desired direction once and wait for the result to be updated on your screen. This operation requires computing power on the Zenfolio servers and depending on how busy the servers are it may take a few seconds to complete.
