Selecting as a cover photo

Any photo contained within can be assigned as a Cover Photo for a gallery, group or collection. A Cover photo is like a book cover, it visually represents the item providing clues as to what can be found inside. It is best to select the most representative and memorable photograph inside to be the Cover Photo.

Assigning a cover photo:

1. In the Main Area, move your mouse over the photo you would like to assign as a Cover Photo. Click on the blue icon with the down-pointing arrow that appears as your mouse moves over the thumbnail. A Photo Menu will open.
2. Choose Select as Cover Photo from the menu. A new window will open and prompt you to assign the selected photo to a gallery, group or collection it is contained within. A thumbnail of the selected photo will appear under Toolbox » Cover Photo and Theme confirming the selection.

Assigning a cover photo to a Private group/gallery:

1. In the Main Area, move your mouse over the photo you would like to assign as a Cover Photo. Click on the blue icon with the down-pointing arrow that appears as your mouse moves over the thumbnail. A Photo Menu will open.
2. Choose Select as Cover Photo from the menu. A new window will open and prompt you to assign the selected photo to a gallery, group or collection it is contained within. A thumbnail of the selected photo will appear under Toolbox » Cover Photo and Theme confirming the selection.
3. With the thumbnail highlighted in the Main Area, select Edit under Toolbox>>Access Control
4. Uncheck Same as Containing Item
5. Click the Access tab and select Public
6. Click Save to apply
7. Your cover photo will immediately display leaving the rest of the Gallery/Group private

Assigning a cover photo to a PASSWORD-PROTECTED group/gallery:

1. In the Main Area, move your mouse over the photo you would like to assign as a Cover Photo. Click on the blue icon with the down-pointing arrow that appears as your mouse moves over the thumbnail. A Photo Menu will open.
2. Choose Select as Cover Photo from the menu. A new window will open and prompt you to assign the selected photo to a gallery, group or collection it is contained within. A thumbnail of the selected photo will appear under Toolbox » Cover Photo and Theme confirming the selection.
3. With the thumbnail highlighted in the Main Area, select Edit under Toolbox>>Access Control
4. Uncheck Same as Containing Item
5. Click the Access tab and select Public
6. Click Save to apply
7. Your cover photo will immediately display leaving the rest of the Gallery/Group password protected
