Downloading photos from Zenfolio back to your computer

As the owner of photographs, you can download original files back to your computer at any time. There are two ways of doing this:

Using the Photo ACTIONS Menu

1. In the Organizer, click to select the gallery containing the photograph you would like to download or double-click the gallery in the Main Area. Thumbnails from the gallery will load in the Main Area and the title of the gallery will display at the top.
2. In the Main Area, move your mouse over a thumbnail of the photograph you would like to download Click on the icon with the down-pointing arrow that appears as your mouse moves over a thumbnail. The Photo Menu will appear.
3. Select Download Original File from the menu. A system popup window will open with a confirmation for downloading the file to your computer.

Using the Toolbox

1. In the Organizer, click to select the gallery containing the photograph you would like to download or double-click the gallery in the Main Area. Thumbnails from the gallery will load in the Main Area and the title of the gallery will display at the top.
2. In the Main Area, click to select a thumbnail of the photograph you would like to download. The thumbnail will become highlighted and photo-related information will be loaded in the Toolbox.
3. Click Download next to ‘Original file name’ at the top of the Photo tab in the Toolbox. A system popup window will open with a confirmation for downloading the file to your computer.

You may also allow visitors to download original files to their computer. This is convenient if you want them to be able to print the photograph on a personal printer or at a local photofinishing lab. Please see separate Help chapter on Controlling Access to your photos and specifically the section titled Allow downloading of original files.

Using Zenfolio Downloader

You can also download a gallery full of photos or even the entire account back to your computer using the free Zenfolio Downloader tool.
