Senior Software Developer (Menlo Park, CA)

We are looking for talented and motivated individuals to join our development team. If you are passionate about your work, willing to learn new things, enjoy solving difficult problems, and take pride in your code – we would like to hear from you. Day-to-day responsibilities of our development team include converting UI specifications into live pages using the full power of modern object-oriented JavaScript, forward-thinking and clean CSS, standards-compliant HTML, and a scalable ASP.NET/C#/SQL backend.

Responsibilities:

• Develop ASP.NET Web applications
• Implement AJAX pages from UI specifications
• Design and develop frameworks for use by other developers
• Code in JavaScript, HTML, CSS for all modern browsers
• Code in ASP.NET, C#, T-SQL
• Debug and optimize performance of a multi-tier Web application

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in commercial software development
• 3+ years of experience in object-oriented programming, preferably in C#
• Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, XML
• Understanding of JavaScript development for AJAX applications
• Understanding of ASP.NET and Microsoft IIS
• Ability to work in a small collaborative team of developers
• Ability to learn new concepts quickly and apply acquired knowledge in practice

Senior Systems Engineer/Operations (Menlo Park, CA)

We are looking for a talented and motivated individual to become the core of our infrastructure team. If you are passionate about your work, enjoy troubleshooting problems, and love learning new technologies – we would like to hear from you. You will take on key responsibilities for maintaining our current infrastructure as well as for planning and implementing new solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Configure and maintain production and development servers
• Implement and maintain Zenfolio network infrastructure
• Monitor availability and performance of Zenfolio systems
• Work closely with members of the development team to troubleshoot application issues
• Continuously improve management and monitoring tools
• Participate in 24x7 infrastructure support duties
• Work in our data center to assist with the installation and maintenance of servers and network devices
• Occasionally travel to out-of-state data centers

Requirements:

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Solid experience in Windows system administration
• Experience with Unix/Linux system administration
• Solid experience with TCP/IP-based networking, including configuration and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with core Internet protocols such as DNS, HTTP, SMTP, etc.

Nice to have:

• Programming experience in any language
• Hands-on experience configuring and managing data center networks

Customer Support Representative (Menlo Park, CA)

The ideal candidate needs to have photography background either as a professional photographer or a serious enthusiast, possess passion for helping people, have an abundance of online knowledge, have good technical and analytical skills, and want to work in a dynamic and creative small-company environment where everyone wears many hats.

Responsibilities:

• Become the first level of interaction for user e-mail inquiries and live chat. Inquiries include requests for technical assistance as well as general pre-sales and how-to questions.
• Ensure timely responses to all inquiries (we try to respond to all e-mails within 60-90 minutes)
• Effectively articulate complex information to a variety of technical and non-technical users, i.e., helping people who have basic computer skills and need a lot of hand-holding
• Create presentations and deliver remote training webinars
• Provide daily interaction with the photography community on user forums and social-networking sites
• Identify areas of usability concerns and escalate them for technical resolution
• Provide assistance with testing
• Covering support during evening and weekend hours is very likely

Must Have:

• Positive attitude
• Good writing skills
• Passion for photography
• Desire to help others
• The ability to learn new concepts
• Able to type a minimum of 50 wpm

Would be Awesome:

• Previous customer service experience in a Web company
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical problems in a “customer friendly” language
• Working knowledge of Mac OS X
• Basic knowledge of Web hosting
